Conditions We Treat

Our chiropractor, Dr. Cory Shapiro treats a variety of conditions at our facility.
Below is more information about the conditions we treat.

Allergies

Allergies are what happens when the immune system overreacts, attacking otherwise harmless substances that enter the body, like pollen and dust.

Various Disc Issues

Disc problems, such as slipped discs and herniated discs, can greatly impact your life if not treated.

Whiplash

Whiplash is when the head is suddenly jerked forward and backward. The upper back and neck pain from whiplash may not be felt until later.

Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is when cartilage breaks down in the joints, causing chronic pain and discomfort.

Joint Dysfunction

Joint dysfunction is when joints are not able to move properly.

Neck and Low Back Pain

Neck and low back pain are common pains that bring people to the chiropractor for chiropractic care.

Headaches

Headaches and migraines can cause chronic pain in the head and neck. Sometimes the pain is so bad that a person cannot work or perform normal daily activities.

Pinched Nerves

Pinched nerves are generally caused by trauma or degenerative discs in the spine and can cause pain, numbness, weakness, and burning sensations. Two of the most common types of pinched nerves we treat are sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome. Sciatica is nerve compression affecting the sciatic nerve in the lower back and legs. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the same thing, but in the wrist.

Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a condition where chronic pain can be felt throughout the entire body for long periods of time.

Knees, Feet, and Shoulder Conditions

Poor knees can be the result of normal wear and tear and frequent use of knees in athletic activities. Plantar fasciitis is a foot condition that causes pain on the bottom of the foot. Frozen shoulder stiffens the shoulder, making it hard to move.

How We Treat These Conditions

We treat these conditions in different ways, based on how severe they are. A treatment plan may include chiropractic techniques such as spinal decompression, strength training, and nutritional coaching. Spinal decompression uses a special machine to gently stretch the spine, which can relieve pain from many of the above conditions.
