Dry needling is a treatment used by a chiropractor that involves incredibly thin filiform needles penetrating the skin. The purpose of these needles is to stimulate certain trigger points.
This treatment also stimulates the connective and muscular tissues. These areas are not easily palpable during chiropractic care. This treatment is called dry needling because there is no medication in the needle.
The needles are not intended to give you an injection. If you are interested in dry needling and live in the Gallatin or Hendersonville areas, contact Shapiro Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center today.
